Pondville Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

The Governor in Council on the report and commendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 11th day of January, A.D., 1980, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Pondville Beach, in the County of Richmond, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-2 marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All that certain area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Pondville Beach, situate at Pondville, in the County of Richmond, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-13-2, attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Survey Marker No. R3554, set in concrete, situate on the eastern shore of a tidal pond and being S 79° 44' 49" W, a distance of 157.23' from Survey Marker No. R3553;
From thence (by grid bearings referred to the Nova Scotia three degree modified transverse mercator projection, zone 4, central meridian sixty-one degrees thirty minutes west longitude) S 00° 16' 40" E, a distance of 523.61' to Survey Marker No. 2;
Thence S 12° 30' 40" E, a distance of 1351.26' to Survey Marker No. 1;
Thence 87° 35' 00" E, a distance of 72', more or less, to a point situate on the mean high watermark of Pondville Beach;
Thence in a northerly direction along the mean high watermark of Pondville Beach 1900', more or less, to a point, being N 79° 44' 49" E, a distance of 50', more or less, from Survey Marker No. R3553;
Thence northeasterly along the mean high watermark of Pondville Beach 570', more or less, to a point;
Thence northwesterly along the mean high watermark of a small inlet to a tidal pond to the west of Pondville Beach, 190', more or less, to Survey Marker No. R3570, situate N 38° 48' 54" E, a distance of 793.53' from Survey Marker No. R3554;
Thence southwesterly along the mean high watermark of the said tidal pond 900', more or less, to the place of beginning.
