Port Greville Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 3rd day of November, A.D., 1983, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Port Greville Beach, in the County of Cumberland, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-11-17 marked Schedule “B” and described in Schedule “A”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate lying and being “lands lying landward from the mean high watermark of Port Greville Beach”, as shown on a plan of survey number P-166/78 prepared by Province of Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forests, Surveys Division, dated November 22, 1978 being in the Community of Port Greville, County of Cumberland, Province of Nova Scotia being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at Nova Scotia Co-ordinate Monument Number 15125;
Thence S 85° 59' 37" W, 1581.98 feet to an iron post, said post hereinafter referred to as the point of beginning;
Thence S 1° 24' 32" E, 31 feet more or less to mean high watermark;
Thence northeasterly following the many courses of the mean high watermark 4650 feet more or less to a point;
Thence N 47° 26' 20" E, 27 feet more or less to an iron post;
Thence N 42° 33' 40" W, 137.56 feet to an iron post;
Thence N 1° 34' 23" E, 297.86 feet to an iron post;
Thence N 56° 50' 43" W, 531.11 feet to an iron post;
Thence N 86° 50' 59" W, 554.16 feet to an iron post;
Thence S 48° 28' 18" W, 359.55 feet to an iron post, said post being S 54° 33' 01" E, 1591.84 feet from the said Nova Scotia Co-ordinate Monument Number 15125;
Thence N 67° 21' 28" W, 1300.70 feet to an iron post;
Thence N 52° 46' 51" W, 451.01 feet to a point;
Thence N 37° 13' 09" E, 94.11 feet to a point;
Thence S 88° 25' 23" W, 150.00 feet to an iron post;
Thence S 88° 25' 23" W, 534.41 feet to an iron post;
Thence S 85° 59' 37" W, 688.25 feet to the point of beginning.
All bearings being 3° modified transverse mercator grid bearings, central meridian 64° 30' west longitude.
