The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated December 20, 1995, pursuant to Section 16 of Chapter 238 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, as amended, the Provincial Court Act, is pleased, effective December 20, 1995, to: (a) repeal Order in Council 94-963 dated December 6, 1994, constituting and appointing a Judicial Council; and (b) appoint a Judicial Council composed of: (i) Chief Justice Lorne O. Clarke of Halifax, Halifax County, the Chief Justice of Nova Scotia; (ii) Chief Justice Constance R. Glube of Halifax, Halifax County, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court; (iii) C. Richard Coughlan, Q.C., of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, the President of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society; (iv) Associate Chief Justice Ian M. Palmeter of Halifax, Halifax County, a Supreme Court Judge designated by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court; (v) Michael B. Sherar of Halifax, Halifax County, a judge of the Provincial Court designated by the Chief Judge.
