The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated December 12, 1997, pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter 238 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Court Act, is pleased to: (a) revoke the appointment of Judge Jean-Louis Batiot of Annapolis Royal, Annapolis County, as Associate Chief Judge of the Provincial Court made by Order in Council 97-117, dated February 18, 1997; and (b) appoint Judge Jean-Louis Batiot as Chief Judge of the Provincial Court for a term of office of five years effective December 18, 1997.
