NOVA SCOTIA MUSEUM--FIFTH ANNUAL ANN CONNOR BRIMER AWARD ------------------------------------------------------------ The public is invited to attend the presentation of the fifth annual Ann Conner Brimer Award for Children's Literature to be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17 at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Lower Water Street, Halifax. The award, sponsored by the Nova Scotia Library Association, is presented in recognition of an outstanding contribution to children's literature in Atlantic Canada. In addition, the presentation of the award kicks off Children's Book Week in Canada. This year, the award finalists include Sheree Fitch for Mable Murple, Dorothy Perkyns for Signal Across the Sea, and Joan Clark for The Dream Carvers. A reception will follow the award presentation.
