LABOUR RELATIONS BOARD--INTERIM CEASE AND DESIST ORDER ------------------------------------------------------------ The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board today announced that it has taken action to end an illegal walkout which commenced Thursday, Feb. 8, involving a number of members of the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada(CAW-CANADA),Local 4611. The complaint was filed with the board, requesting a cease and desist order against the employer, Adams and Knickle Limited of Lunenburg. An interim order has been issued by the board directing that the vessel, MV Freedom 99, which was scheduled to sail Feb. 7 without preconditions other than for weather, safety or provisions, be scheduled to sail at the earliest date subject to these normal considerations. -30- Contact: Labour Relations Board 902-424-6730 jlw Feb. 09, 1996 3:25 p.m.
