ENVIRONMENT--UNACCEPTABLE WATER QUALITY

The public is advised that the water quality in the Annapolis and
Cornwallis Rivers is considered unacceptable again this summer
for recreational uses, irrigation of food crops and livestock
watering due to high bacterial counts in these rivers.

More specific information concerning the river water quality can
be obtained by contacting the Department of the Environment
offices at 902-679-6086 or 902-825-2123.
