NEWS RELEASE (CNS791) -->> ART GALLERY OF NOVA SCOTIA--20TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION ART GALLERY OF NOVA SCOTIA--20TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION ----------------------------------------------------------------- Far & Wide, Visual Arts Nova Scotia's 20th anniversary exhibition will be at the University College of Cape Breton from Nov. 30 until Feb. 15. Far & Wide includes the work of 70 artists from all parts of Nova Scotia, with a wide range and variety of works. The works run the gamut of visual arts media, including paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics, book works, fibres, jewellery, sculpture, installation, mixed media and video. The styles, themes and ideas conveyed are equally diverse: from contemplative landscapes to intense psychological portraits, from whimsical sculpture to overt political commentary, from formal abstraction to folk art. Visual Arts Nova Scotia (VANS) is a non-profit organization which works to promote the art and artists of Nova Scotia.
