NEWS RELEASE (CNS799) -->> NOVA SCOTIA GAMING CORPORATION--QUARTERLY REPORT NOVA SCOTIA GAMING CORPORATION--QUARTERLY REPORT ----------------------------------------------------------------- The Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation is reporting $27.9 million in net gaming profits for the second quarter, ending Sept. 30, 1996. This represents a six per cent increase in net income compared to the 1995 second quarter. Chair of the corporation, Ralph Fiske said results of the second quarter are quite positive and, in particular, the trend at the Sydney Casino is very favourable. "The Sydney Casino has almost doubled its revenues in the three month period compared to 1995. Although we are moving now into what is expected to be a slower time for both casino operations, we are much more optimistic about Sydney now that we have a complete year of operations behind us," Mr. Fiske said.
