TRANSPORTATION/PUBLIC WORKS--SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ----------------------------------------------------------------- The weight restriction period has been revised in the following counties: Yarmouth, Shelburne, Digby and Queens. It will now go into effect 12:01 a.m. March 16, 1997, instead of 12:01 a.m., March 10. The restriction end date in these areas is April 20. In Annapolis, Kings, Lunenburg, Halifax and Hants it will now go into effect 12:01 a.m. March 16, 1997, instead of 12:01 a.m., March 13. The end dates for these restriction periods remain unchanged. The restriction end date in these areas is April 27. The restriction period for the counties of Colchester, Cumberland, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, Inverness, Victoria, and Cape Breton remains unchanged. If the current temperatures continue the closing date may be extended. The current restriction period for these counties is from 12:01 a.m., March 16, 1997 to 12:01 a.m., May 4. Certain roads in the province will be exempt from the weight restrictions.
