FINANCE--BUDGET DATE SET ----------------------------------------------------------------- Finance Minister William Gillis has announced that he will bring down the 1997-98 provincial budget on Thursday, April 17 at 2 p.m. Through the Speech from the Throne, the government has already indicated that the minister will be reporting balanced budgets for both the previous fiscal year (1996-97) and the current year (1997-98).
