NOVA SCOTIA MUSEUM--SHIPBUILDING ON PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
------------------------------------------------------------------
In the last century, Prince Edward Island was a virtual "ship
factory" building almost 4,500 sailing ships.

Marven Moore, manager of collections at the Maritime Museum of
the Atlantic and author of the new book Shipbuilding on Prince
Edward Island will describe the significant contributions made
by Canada's smallest province to the age of sail, at the Maritime
Museum of the Atlantic, Halifax, at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Although there is no charge to attend, donations to the Food
Bank would be greatly appreciated.
