NOVA SCOTIA GAMING CORPORATION--QUARTERLY REPORT RELEASED
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation today released its quarterly
financial report for the three months ending December 31, 1995.

The report shows that business stayed relatively constant at the
Halifax casino during the last three months of the year. There
was a moderate decline in revenue compared with the summer
months, but corporation chairman Ralph Fiske said that was
expected.

In Sydney, casino business increased during the last three months
of 1995.

In the months covered by the report, the Halifax Sheraton Casino
took in $10.3 million in revenue before taxes and expenses. It
paid more that $3 million in salaries and benefits to employees
and turned an after-expenses and taxes profit of more than $1
million.

In Sydney the casino's total revenue was $5 million. More than
$2.2 million was paid to Sydney casino employees in salaries and
benefits. The Sydney casino did not report profit after covering
expenses and taxes.
