ANTIGONISH COUNTY: JAMES RIVER BRIDGE

Beginning Monday, June 9, the James River Bridge on Trunk 4 in
Antigonish County will be closed. Repairs to the structure will
take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily until June 20.
Alternative routes are the Mill Road (Route 522) or the Beaver
Meadow Road (Route 413).

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: HIGHWAY 104

Repaving began last week on Highway 104 from South Albion Street
in Amherst, westerly for five kilometres. Partial lane closures
will be in place between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. One lane will
remain open at all times. Work is expected to be completed by the
end of June.

DIGBY COUNTY: HIGHWAY 101, ROUTE 303

Work continues on Highway 101 from the Digby Interchange 
westerly toward Barton, and on Route 303 from the Digby
Interchange to the Digby town limits. Work includes 11 kilometres
of repaving westbound from the Digby Interchange. Partial lane
closures are in place controlled by flashing lights and traffic
crews. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: COUNTRY HARBOUR FERRY

Motorists are advised that the Country Harbour Ferry will be out
of service for a week, June 6-13, for its annual refit and
inspection. This scheduling takes advantage of the higher tide
levels, which allow for fuller inspection of the bottom and
painting. The alternative route to Canso is Route 316.

HALIFAX COUNTY: HIGHWAY 102

Work continues next week on Highway 102 southbound between
Hammonds Plains Road (Exit 3) and Kearney Lake Road (Exit 2). One
lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Work is expected
to be completed by the end of June.

HANTS COUNTY: HIGHWAY 102 

Work continues next week on Highway 102 between Enfield and
Elmsdale (Exit 8). Alternating lane closures will be in place to
allow for asphalt concrete cold planing and repaving of this
section of Highway. Work is expected to be completed by the end
of June.

KINGS COUNTY: ROUTE 359

On Wednesday, June 11, and Thursday, June 12, Route 359 will be
closed at Halls Harbour, Kings Co., to all traffic during the
day. The road will be open during the evening. Crews are
replacing culverts under the roadway.

PICTOU COUNTY: HIGHWAY 106

Work begins Monday, June 9, on the Old Haliburton Road underpass
over Highway 106. Work consists of surface preparation and
protective coating of the underpass. Partial lane closures will
be in place controlled by traffic signals. Work is expected to be
completed by mid-July.

VICTORIA COUNTY: HIGHWAY 105


Paving continues next week on Highway 105. Areas effected are St.
James Road to Seal Island Bridge; South Haven and Shore Road.
Partial lane closures are in place controlled by traffic crews.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of June.

YARMOUTH COUNTY: INDIAN SLUICE BRIDGE

Work continues next week on the Indian Sluice Bridge at Sluice
Point in Yarmouth Co. The bridge will be closed to traffic
between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. A weight
restriction of 21 tonnes has been imposed for the duration of the
construction. Crews are carrying out repairs and deck work. It's
expected to be completed by June 30.

Provisions for emergency services have been co-ordinated with
local fire, police and ambulance.
