EDUCATION/CULTURE--CRAFT CENTRE HOLDS WHOLESALING WORKSHOP

The Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design is presenting a
one-day workshop entitled Ready, Set, Go! Wholesaling and the
Atlantic Craft Trade Show. This workshop will take place at the
centre, 1683 Barrington St., Halifax, on July 17, from 10 a.m. to
3:30 p.m. The cost is $34.50, which includes lunch.
The workshop will assist craft and giftware producers, who intend
to exhibit at trade shows, with booth design, pre-marketing and
promotional material, pricing, invoicing, terms and collecting,
as well as completing a sale. The participants are urged to bring
a product, which will be discussed in terms of marketability,
packaging and promotion. It would be particularly useful if the
product is not yet ready to be put on the market.
Emphasis will be on the craft business and the Atlantic Craft
Trade Show, but any entrepreneur interested in wholesaling will
benefit from the series of talks organized for this day.
The Atlantic Craft Trade show is a wholesale trade show which has
been run by the four Atlantic provincial governments annually
since 1977. The shows take place in February and September.
