ENVIRONMENT--ADVISORY: HIGH BACTERIA LEVELS IN ANNAPOLIS RIVER
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Testing of the Annapolis River has detected higher than
acceptable levels of fecal coliform. The Nova Scotia Department
of the Environment is advising against swimming in the river.

The department will notify the public when tests show enough
improvement in water quality to allow for the reopening of the
river to swimmers.
