Debert Archaeological Resource Impact Assessment Regulations
made under Section 20 of the
Special Places Protection Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 438

Citation
1 These regulations may be cited as the Debert Archaeological Resource Impact Assessment Regulations.
Definitions
2 In these regulations,
(a) “Act” means the Special Places Protection Act;
(b) “Debert Lands” means the lands at Debert, Nova Scotia, described in Schedule A;
(c) “heritage research permit” means a heritage research permit under Section 8 of the Act.
Application of regulations
3 These regulations apply to the Debert Lands.
Assessment required before excavation or disturbance
4 A person must not excavate or otherwise disturb the soil of any portion of the Debert Lands without first completing an archaeological resource impact assessment under a heritage research permit for that portion of the Debert Lands.
Schedule A
Description of Debert Lands
All those certain lots, pieces, or parcels of land situate, lying and being Debert Industrial Park Lands to be conveyed by Industrial Estates Limited to the Small Business Development Corporation, as shown on an index plan number P-136/77 prepared by Province of Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forests, Surveys Division, dated December 15, 1977, being in the Community of Debert, County of Colchester, Province of Nova Scotia, being more particularly described as follows:
