IMAGE INFORMATION

This is probably an Acadian girl. She has bangs, and her hair and eyes appear somewhat light. A shawl is tied around her head, and her clothing does not resemble the nineteenth-century Mi'kmaq style. The painting is signed "M.R. McK. 1849."
