The man at extreme far left, almost out of the picture, is John McEwan, Mi'kmaq guide, taxidermist, and canoe-builder. Second to fourth from left are Wallace Graham, Reuben Harris and Stanley MacGregor. Mi'kmaq guide Billie Meuse, son of Chief James Meuse, is at far right. Notice the woodsplint baskets. This photograph is the first one from this time period taken at night.
