IMAGE INFORMATION
Dr. Creighton said she was driving down the road in Nyanza when she noticed a large crowd. It was a Mi'kmaq funeral, and hymns were being sung. Since she had her recording equipment with her, she stopped and asked permission to tape some of the hymns. Eventually someone objected, because this was a funeral, and she packed up and drove on. A friend took the photograph. [Dr. Helen Creighton to R. H. Whitehead, personal communication, 1982.]
