Mi'kmaq actor Joe B. Marshall models a painted moosehide robe, painted by Ruth Holmes Whitehead in the four power-colours of red, white, black and yellow. The animal art is reproduced from Mi'kmaq rock carvings from Kejimkujik National Park, N.S. At the request of the Micmac Association for Cultural Studies, during the course of 1980-1981, the Nova Scotia Museum, Learning Resources & Technology, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Halifax, produced MI'KMAQ, a television series on Mi'kmaq life circa 1400 A.D. Taken in August of 1980, during the taping of what became the Wedding Episode.
