IMAGE INFORMATION

This series of photos (shown previously) was dated from this picture, where the rock has been carved with the date '98. The photographer had given days of the week and days of the month in his captions. The year had to be 1898 or later, and the only year within a reasonable period in which May 9th fell on a Tuesday was 1899. The cross-in-circle surmounted by a cross, also carved on this rock, is a Mi'kmaq hieroglyph.
