Warehouse & Distribution Centre Expansion

Description

This is to advise that on October 20, 2011, Home Hardware Stores Limited registered a Project ( Home Hardware Stores Limited Warehouse & Distribution Centre Expansion at the Debert Air Industrial Park) for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to provide increased building and staging space at the Debert distribution centre in the Debert Air Industrial Park. Proposed construction is scheduled to begin in April 2012 with completion of Phase 1 in November 2012.

Minister's Decision

On December 6, 2011, the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:135k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. Public comments on the Registration Document were accepted until November 19, 2011.
