Description

This is to advise that on December 11, 2008, Enviroclean Ltd./Power Vac Services registered an Asbestos Transfer / Bulking Facility for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

Power Vac Services requires an asbestos / transfer bulking facility site for asbestos waste and requires a temporary storage location be relocated from the existing location on Cobequid Road to 51 Raddall Ave., Dartmouth.

Minister's Decision

On February 9, 2009 the Minister of Environment released a decision (PDF:547k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions (PDF:1mb).

Opportunities for Public Input

Public comments on the Registration Document were accepted from December 11, 2008 until January 20, 2009. All comments received will be available to the public at the Department of Environment and Climate Change Library, 5th floor, Halifax Office, 5151 Terminal Road.
