Description
This is to advise that on March 1, 2013 Marinus Verhagen Enterprises Limited registered the Asbestos Waste Management Site for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.
The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to construct an Asbestos Waste Management Site adjacent to the Proponent’s current Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Disposal Site located in McLellans Brook, Nova Scotia. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2013, with commissioning by mid-2013.
Minister's Decision
On April 22, the Minister of Environment released a decision
(PDF:456k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act. The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of conditions (PDF:2.5mb).
