Yarmouth County Petroleum Contaminated Soil Remediation Facility

Description

This is to advise that on September 21, 2010, Yarmouth County Solid Waste Park Management Authority registered a Yarmouth County Petroleum Contaminated Soil Remediation Facility for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to construct a new petroleum contaminated soil remediation facility located at 1932 Hardscratch Rd., South Ohio, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. The proposed construction start is spring 2011.

Minister's Decision

On November 10, 2010 the Minister of Environment released a decisionPDF Download Link (PDF:96k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.
