Pay for Your Road Test Receipt (driving test)

You need to pay for a road test (driving test) before you can schedule and take the test. You can book a Class 5 road test online, and pay with a credit card when you're booking.

Booking and paying for a Class 5 road test

You can book a Class 5 road test online, and pay with a credit card when you're booking.

If you would like to pay with debit card, credit card, cheque, money order, or cash, you must go to an Access Nova Scotia location to pay, and keep your receipt for booking online.

To book and pay for any road test other than a Class 5

You need a road test receipt to schedule the test. You also need to take the road test receipt to your road test at Registry of Motor Vehicles (you can print the receipt or have it available on your phone). If you don't have your receipt with you when you arrive at Registry of Motor Vehicles, it may delay your road test.

To book your test after paying, you then need to call the Registry of Motor Vehicles to schedule the test, and you need the receipt number as proof that you paid for the test.
