Farm Emergency Response Grant Program
A one-time grant of $2,500 will be sent to registered farms in Central, Northern and Eastern Nova Scotia that experienced financial losses due to infrastructure or crop damage, livestock loss or extended power outages due to Hurricane Fiona. Funding will also be available to registered farms that experienced storm damage outside the most impacted regions.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- be a registered farm in Central, Northern or Eastern Nova Scotia (communities include Hants, Halifax, Cumberland, Colchester, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough and Cape Breton)
- have experienced financial losses due to infrastructure or crop damage, livestock loss or extended power outages due to Hurricane Fiona
How to apply
No application required. A one-time grant will be sent to registered farms in Central, Northern and Eastern Nova Scotia that experienced financial losses due to Hurricane Fiona.
If your farm was impacted by the hurricane but isn’t registered (or if it’s outside of Central, Northern or Eastern Nova Scotia) you can contact the Programs Division at 1-866-844-4276.
