Wine and Grape Industry Development Program

The Wine and Grape Industry Development program supports the environmental, economic and social sustainability of Nova Scotia's wine industry. The program helps grape growers and wineries prepare for climate change and supports marketing and training activities.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be a grape grower, Nova Scotia certified farm winery, small farm winery or agriculture industry association.

For farm wineries and grape growers, you need to:

  • be currently registered under the Farm Registration Act
  • be at least 19 years old and actively farming in the program year
  • have a minimum of 2 acres of wine grapes in production and have a contract for sale of grapes or proof of grape sales to a Nova Scotia winery

For agriculture industry associations, you need to:

  • demonstrate non-profit status
  • represent identifiable Nova Scotia agriculture and agri-food products

Claim deadline: 28 February 2026
