| Who Needs This Licence? | ||
| Anyone in Nova Scotia who wants to keep, rear and sell elk, red deer, sika or fallow deer for food production. Note: This licence covers only four deer species: elk, red deer, sika deer and fallow deer. | ||

An application form can be obtained from the address above, Nova Scotia
Department of Agriculture. Issuance depends upon approval of facilities, which can be dependent on weather conditions which can affect the ability of the Senior Meat Inspector to walk the perimeter of the farm inspecting fences, etc. Copies of Inventory are requested annually along with Removal Reports and license renewal fees.
If all requirements are met and the application is approved, the licence will be sent to the applicant by mail. |

| Expiry & Renewal: | ||
| This licence is valid for a given calendar year. It is renewable and the renewal time is January 1. The Department will send a renewal form to the licence holder and inventory is as of December 15th of the previous year. | ||

| Initial Application: $131.26 plus HST Annual Renewal Fee: $13.70 plus HST Please pay by cheque or money order made out to the Minister of Finance. |
