This division is responsible for the majority of field operations relating to environmental protection and effective management of our natural resources. The division responds to requests for environmental assistance, approvals and investigations through its regional and district office network.
Industrial approvals granted by Nova Scotia Environment are now available online to make it easier for Nova Scotians to access the information and to do so at no cost. The database lists all current industrial approvals issued by the department. The documents outline the terms and conditions that companies are required to follow. A search can be done by company name, type of business or geographic area.
