Getting help in an emergency

If you need financial assistance because of an emergency, call an office in your area and let the caseworker know. They may be able to get you help faster.

Here are some examples of emergencies:

  • your utilities (power or water) are going to be shut off

  • you or your family's health or safety is at risk
