The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated December 12, 2024, and pursuant to Sections 4, 7 and 84 of Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, is pleased, effective December 12, 2024, to: 

          (a) revoke Order in Council 2023-253 dated September 14, 2023;

          (b) assign the administration of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act to the Honourable Leah Martin, a Member of the Executive Council, who may be described as the Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act; 

          (c) appoint the Deputy Minister of Opportunities and Social Development as Deputy Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act; 

          (d) appoint the Associate Deputy Minister of Opportunities and Social Development as Associate Deputy Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act; and

          (e) direct that for administrative purposes the administration of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act be attached to the Department of Opportunities and Social Development.
