September 20, 2024UK RETAIL SALES, AUGUST 2024 Month-over-month (August 2024 vs July 2024, seasonally adjusted)
UK retail sales values rose by 0.4% while volumes (adjusted to remove the effects of price changes) were up 1.0%.
Internet sales were essentially unchanged and accounted for 27.6% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (August 2024 vs August 2023)
UK retail sales values increased 2.2% while retail sales volumes rose by 2.5%.
Year-to-date (January-August 2024 vs January-August 2023)
UK retail sales values increased 1.8% and retail sales volumes increased 0.3%.
