November 05, 2024US TRADE BALANCE, SEPTEMBER 2024 Month over month (September 2024 vs August 2024)
The United States goods and services deficit widened by $13.6 billion to $84.4 billion. The goods deficit widened by $14.2 billion to $109.0 billion, and the services surplus widened by $583 million to $24.6 billion.



Total exports decreased $3.2 billion to $267.9 billion. Goods exports decreased $3.2 billion to $176.0 billion, and services exports decreased $18 million to $91.9 billion.
Total imports increased $10.3 billion to $352.3 billion. Goods imports increased $10.9 billion to $285.0 billion, and services imports decreased $600 million to $67.3 billion.
Year over year (September 2024 vs September 2023)
The US trade deficit widened by $22.1 billion. The goods deficit widened by $23.3 billion, and the services surplus widened by $1.1 billion.
Total exports increased by $6.3 billion. Goods exports increased $983 million, and services exports increased $5.3 billion.
Total imports increased $28.4 billion. Goods imports increased $24.3 billion, and services imports increased $4.2 billion.
