In Nova Scotia,
- The labour force decreased 2,700 (-0.5%) to 561,200
- Employment decreased 3,400 (-0.6%) to 523,600
- The number of unemployed persons increased 700 (+1.9%) to 37,600
- The unemployment rate increased 0.2 percentage points to 6.7%
In Canada,
- The labour force increased 61,000 (+0.3%) to 22,613,700
- Employment increased 83,100 (+0.4%) to 21,061,200
- The number of unemployed persons decreased 22,100 (-1.4%) to 1,552,500
- The unemployment rate decreased 0.1 percentage points to 6.9%
In Halifax and East Hants Census Metropolitan Area, (3-month moving average)
- The labour force decreased 1,500 (-0.5%) to 310,600
- Employment decreased 2,100 (-0.7%) to 292,400
- The number of unemployed persons increased 600 (+3.4%) to 18,200
