US construction spending decreased 0.4% to $2,136.2 billion.
- Total residential construction declined 0.7% to $895.1 billion.
- Total non-residential construction spending decreased 0.1% to $1,241.1 billion.
- Private sector construction declined 0.5% to $1,621.9 billion.
- Public sector construction increased 0.1% to $514.3 billion.
Private residential construction declined 0.7% to $883.1 billion, while private non-residential construction spending decreased 0.3% to $738.8 billion.
Public residential construction declined 1.0% to $12.0 billion, while public non-residential construction spending increased 0.1% to $502.3 billion.
Year-to-date (January-June 2025 vs January-June 2024)
US construction spending decreased 1.7%.
- Total residential construction decreased 2.9%.
- Total non-residential construction spending decreased 0.8%.
