UK CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, JULY 2025

UK Consumer Price Index including owner-occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose 4.2% year-over-year in July 2025, up from 4.1% year-over-year in June 2025. The UK CPI index was up 3.8% year-over-year in July, up from 3.6% in June. The owner occupiers' housing costs component accounts for 17% of the CPIH. It is the main driver for differences between the CPIH and CPI inflation rates. The largest upward contributions were from transport and communication. These gains were partly offset by a downward contribution from housing and household services (including owner occupiers' housing costs) and health.
