US construction spending decreased 0.1% to $2,139.1 billion.
- Total residential construction increased 0.1% to $898.7 billion.
- Total non-residential construction spending decreased 0.2% to $1,240.4 billion.
- Private sector construction declined 0.2% to $1,623.3 billion.
- Public sector construction increased 0.3% to $515.8 billion.
Private residential construction increased 0.1% to $886.5 billion, while private non-residential construction spending decreased 0.5% to $736.7 billion.
Public residential construction increased 1.8% to $12.2 billion, while public non-residential construction spending increased 0.3% to $503.7 billion.
Year-to-date (January-July 2025 vs January-July 2024)
US construction spending decreased 1.8%.
- Total residential construction decreased 3.2%.
- Total non-residential construction spending decreased 0.8%.
