September 01, 2026EU AND EURO AREA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, JULY 2026 Note that from 1 January 2026, the Euro Area also includes Bulgaria.
The unemployment rate in the Euro Area was 6.4% in July 2026, unchanged from June's revised rate. For the broader 27 countries of the entire European Union, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.1% in July 2026.
Among EU member state economies, Finland and Spain had the highest July unemployment rates. The lowest July rates were in Czechia and Poland.
