In Nova Scotia,
- Labour force increased 0.9% (4,500) to 510,700
- Employment increased 0.3% (1,600) to 466,800
- Unemployment increased 7.1% (2,900) to 43,900
- Unemployment Rate increased 0.5 percentage points to 8.6%.
In Canada,
- Labour force increased 0.8% (154,900) to 20,351,100
- Employment increased 1.6% (303,100) to 18,834,300
- Unemployment decreased 8.9% (148,400) to 1,516,700
- Unemployment Rate decreased 0.7 percentage points to 7.5%.
In Halifax, (3-month moving average)
- Labour force increased 1.1% (2,900) to 264,100
- Employment increased 1.0% (2,400) to 242,500
- Unemployment increased 2.4% (500) to 21,600
- Unemployment Rate increased 0.1 percentage points to 8.2%
