JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, MARCH 2024

Month-over-month (March 2024 vs  February 2024)

The current account  surplus widened by ¥598.5 billion to ¥2,010.6 billion.

  • goods deficit narrowed by ¥65.7 billion to ¥574.0 billion.
  • services deficit widened by ¥64.1 billion to ¥278.3 billion.
  • primary income surplus widened by ¥642.4 billion to ¥3,152.5 billion.
  • secondary income deficit widened by ¥45.6 billion to ¥289.7 billion.

 

 

The goods deficit narrowed by ¥65.7 billion to ¥574.0 billion.

  • goods exports increased ¥469.3 billion to ¥8,725,0 billion.
  • goods imports increased ¥403.7 billion to ¥9,299.1 billion.
