July 19, 2024UK RETAIL SALES, JUNE 2024 The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value as well as retail sales volume fell in June 2024.
Retail sales values declined by 1.3% and volumes (adjusted to remove the effects of price changes) were down 1.2%.
Internet sales decreased by 2.7% and accounted for 27.1% of total retail sales.
Year-over-Year (June 2024 vs June 2023)
Retail sales values increased 0.6% while retail sales volumes declined 0.2%.
Year-to-date (Jan-May 2024 vs Jan-May 2023)
Retail sales values increased 1.9% and retail sales volumes edged down 0.04%.
