March 19, 2025EU AND EURO AREA CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, FEBRUARY 2025 Year-over-year (February 2025 vs February 2024)
The inflation rate slowed to 2.7% in the European Union and to 2.3% in the Euro Area in February 2025.

The fastest inflation was reported in Hungary, Romania, and Estonia while the slowest inflation rate was in France, Ireland, and Finland.

Energy prices slowed to 1.0% in the European Union and to 0.2% in the Euro Area in February 2025.

Food price inflation accelerated to 2.6% for the European Union and to 1.8% in the Euro Area in February 2025.

Excluding the impacts of energy, food, alcohol and tobacco prices year-over-year inflation slowed to 2.8% in the European Union and to 2.6% in the Euro Area in February 2025.
