Month over month (July 2025 vs June 2025)
The US trade deficit in goods and services widened by $19.2 billion to $78.3 billion in July. The goods deficit widened by $18.2 billion to $103.9 billion, and the services surplus narrowed by $1.1 billion to $25.6 billion.


Total exports increased $0.8 billion to $280.5 billion. Goods exports increased $0.2 billion to $179.4 billion, and services exports increased $0.6 billion to $101.0 billion.
Total imports increased $20.0 billion to $358.8 billion. Goods imports increased $18.4 billion to $283.3 billion, and services imports increased $1.7 billion to $75.5 billion.
Year over year (July 2025 vs July 2024)
The US trade deficit narrowed by $0.3 billion. The goods deficit narrowed by $0.5 billion, and the services surplus narrowed by $0.1 billion.
Total exports increased by $9.3 billion. Goods exports increased $4.8 billion, and services exports increased $4.6 billion.
Total imports increased $9.0 billion. Goods imports increased $4.3 billion, and services imports increased $4.7 billion.
