- The labour force decreased 200 (-0.04%) to 560,300
- Employment increased 1,300 (+0.2%) to 525,400
- The number of unemployed persons decreased 1,600 (-4.4%) to 34,800
- The unemployment rate decreased 0.3 percentage points to 6.2%
In Canada,
- The labour force increased 72,300 (+0.3%) to 22,621,800
- Employment increased 60,400 (+0.3%) to 21,015,300
- The number of unemployed persons increased 11,900 (+0.7%) to 1,606,500
- The unemployment rate was unchanged at 7.1%
In Halifax and East Hants Census Metropolitan Area, (3-month moving average)
- The labour force increased 600 (+0.2%) to 312,600
- Employment increased 600 (+0.2%) to 294,800
- The number of unemployed persons was unchanged at 17,800
- The unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.7%
