October 22, 2025UK CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, SEPTEMBER 2025 
UK Consumer Price Index including owner-occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose 4.1% year-over-year in September 2025, unchanged from year-over-year in August 2025. The UK CPI index was up 3.8% year-over-year in September, unchanged year-over-year in August. The owner occupiers' housing costs component accounts for approximately 17% of the CPIH. It is the main driver for differences between the CPIH and CPI inflation rates. The largest upward contribution came from transport. The largest downward contributions were from recreation and culture as well as food and non-alcoholic beverages.
