Month-over-month (September 2025 vs August 2025, seasonally adjusted)
The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit narrowed by £0.2 billion to £1.1 billion. Exports of goods and services decreased 0.9% (£0.7 billion) to £77.2 billion and imports of goods and services decreased 1.1% (£0.9 billion) to £78.3 billion.
The United Kingdom goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.6 billion to £18.9 billion. Exports of goods decreased 1.2% (£0.4 billion) to £31.2 billion. Imports of goods decreased 2.0% (£1.0 billion) to £50.1 billion.
The United Kingdom services trade surplus narrowed by £0.5 billion to £17.8 billion. Exports of services decreased 0.7% (£0.3 billion) to £46.0 billion and imports of services increased 0.4% (£0.1 billion) to £28.2 billion.


Year-over-year (September 2025 vs September 2024, seasonally adjusted)
The United Kingdom goods and services trade surplus of £1.3 billion in September 2024 changed to a deficit of £1.1 billion. The goods trade deficit widened by £3.5 billion to £18.9 billion and the services trade surplus widened by £1.1 billion to £17.8 billion.

Month-over-month (September 2025 vs August 2025, seasonally adjusted)
The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.5 billion to £12.1 billion. Exports of goods decreased by 2.7% (£0.4 billion) to £14.4 billion and imports of goods decreased by 3.3% (£0.9 billion) to £26.5 billion.
The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.1 billion to £6.8 billion. Exports of goods increased 0.1% (£0.02 billion) to £16.8 billion and imports of goods decreased by 0.5% (£0.1 billion) to £23.6 billion.

The United Kingdom-EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.1 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £2.4 billion.
