EU AND EURO AREA GDP, Q3 2025 (SECOND ESTIMATE)

In the revised GDP estimate for Q3 2025, the seasonally adjusted annualized growth rate for real GDP was 1.3% for the European Union and 0.9% for the Euro Area (a subset of 20 of the 27 nations of the European Union).

Among member states reporting results for Q3, quarter over quarter growth was fastest in Sweden, Slovenia, Portugal, Poland and Cyprus. Lithuania, Ireland, Romania and Finland recorded declines compared to the previous quarter.

The European Union economy was 1.6% larger compared to the third quarter of 2024. The Euro Area economy was 1.4% larger in Q3 2025 than in Q3 2024.
