November 19, 2025UK CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, OCTOBER 2025 
UK Consumer Price Index including owner-occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose 3.8% year-over-year in October 2025, down from 4.1% year-over-year in September 2025. The UK CPI index was up 3.6% year-over-year in October, down from 3.8year-over-year in September. The owner occupiers' housing costs component accounts for approximately 17% of the CPIH. It is the main driver for differences between the CPIH and CPI inflation rates. The largest upward contribution came from food and non-alcoholic beverages followed by recreation/culture and education. The largest downward contributions were from housing and household services (including owner occupiers housing costs), as well as health and restaurants/hotels.
